Open the repository root in Android Studio, or use JDK 17 with Android SDK 36 installed and run:
```text
./gradlew assembleDebug
./gradlew testDebugUnitTest
./gradlew lintDebug
# ADR-001: Android application baseline
## Status
Accepted — 2026-08-25
## Context
TASK-001 requires a final application ID and minimum supported Android version before the project can be bootstrapped. The product owner approved the proposed values on 2026-08-25.
## Decision
- Use `com.ubisam.ubgitea` as the application ID and Kotlin namespace.
- Support Android 9 (API 28) and later.
- Start with one Android application module using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Material 3.
- Compile and target Android API 36, using JDK 17.
## Alternatives considered
- The initially proposed `me.ubisampaju.ubgitea` identifier was not selected; the product owner explicitly chose `com.ubisam.ubgitea`.
- Supporting Android versions earlier than Android 9 was not selected because it increases compatibility and security maintenance for no established product requirement.
- A multi-module bootstrap was deferred until build-time or ownership boundaries justify it.
## Consequences
- The HTTPS App Link Digital Asset Links file must eventually identify `com.ubisam.ubgitea` and the production signing certificate.
- Changing the application ID after distribution would create a distinct Android application, so future changes require product-owner approval.
# Gradle start up script for POSIX generated by Gradle.
#
# Important for running:
#
# (1) You need a POSIX-compliant shell to run this script. If your /bin/sh is
# noncompliant, but you have some other compliant shell such as ksh or
# bash, then to run this script, type that shell name before the whole
# command line, like:
#
# ksh Gradle
#
# Busybox and similar reduced shells will NOT work, because this script
# requires all of these POSIX shell features:
# * functions;
# * expansions «$var», «${var}», «${var:-default}», «${var+SET}»,
# «${var#prefix}», «${var%suffix}», and «$( cmd )»;
# * compound commands having a testable exit status, especially «case»;
# * various built-in commands including «command», «set», and «ulimit».
#
# Important for patching:
#
# (2) This script targets any POSIX shell, so it avoids extensions provided
# by Bash, Ksh, etc; in particular arrays are avoided.
#
# The "traditional" practice of packing multiple parameters into a
# space-separated string is a well documented source of bugs and security
# problems, so this is (mostly) avoided, by progressively accumulating
# options in "$@", and eventually passing that to Java.
#
# Where the inherited environment variables (DEFAULT_JVM_OPTS, JAVA_OPTS,
# and GRADLE_OPTS) rely on word-splitting, this is performed explicitly;
# see the in-line comments for details.
#
# There are tweaks for specific operating systems such as AIX, CygWin,
# Darwin, MinGW, and NonStop.
#
# (3) This script is generated from the Groovy template
# https://github.com/gradle/gradle/blob/HEAD/platforms/jvm/plugins-application/src/main/resources/org/gradle/api/internal/plugins/unixStartScript.txt
# within the Gradle project.
#
# You can find Gradle at https://github.com/gradle/gradle/.
## Evidence ## Evidence
Pending implementation. Recorded on 2026-08-25 using JDK 17 and Android SDK 36:
- `./gradlew assembleDebug` — passed; generated `app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk`.
- `./gradlew testDebugUnitTest` — passed; 1 test, 0 failures, 0 errors.
- `./gradlew lintDebug` — passed; report generated at `app/build/reports/lint-results-debug.html`.
- APK metadata inspection — package `com.ubisam.ubgitea`, minimum SDK 28, target SDK 36, application label `UBGitea`, launchable `MainActivity`.
- Sensitive-pattern repository scan excluding generated and Git metadata — no assigned secret, token, password, or private-key value found.
- Static formatting/check task — not configured for this bootstrap.
- Manual device launch — not performed because no emulator or device was available; packaged resources and APK metadata were inspected instead.
- Product decisions are recorded in `docs/decisions/001-android-application-baseline.md` and summarized in `docs/product.md`.
- Independent read-only review — no P0-P3 findings; reviewer reran build, unit test, and lint together successfully.
- Residual review notes — no device/emulator launch was available; lint completed with 0 errors and 11 non-blocking warnings (dependency updates, final icon, and future data-extraction policy). Final branding is excluded from TASK-001, and backup/data-extraction policy must be revisited before authentication or local persistence is introduced.
